About the Role

Job Description

This is a dynamic opportunity to join our specialist financial services regulatory team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality advice and support to our clients across a range of regulatory matters.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with Partners and lawyers across our offices, gaining exposure to complex and interesting superannuation and broader financial services regulatory work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert advice on regulatory matters including licensing, disclosure, and conduct obligations;
  • Assisting clients to respond to regulatory investigations and prosecutions, including APRA and ASIC proceedings;
  • Advising on superannuation fund mergers;
  • Working with our M&A team on transactions in the financial services area;
  • Preparing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including outsourcing and distribution arrangements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience advising superannuation and/or other financial services clients on regulatory matters;
  • Private practice experience working in a specialist superannuation and/or financial services regulatory team;
  • Excellent academics and legal analysis, writing, and communication skills;
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
