Job Title:
Strategic Leader for Indigenous AffairsThe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) plays a pivotal role in leading the National Indigenous Australians Agency, overseeing its strategic direction, governance, performance, and policy leadership.
This full-time position requires exceptional cultural capability, respect, and commitment to implementing the National Agreement on Closing the Gap. The successful candidate will also possess strong organisational and influencing skills, think strategically, and be agile in responding to emerging challenges and opportunities.
- Leads policy, program, and delivery reform aligned with improving the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
- Supports effective decision-making to ensure the NIAA co-designs and delivers substantial reform.
- Provides high-quality leadership and oversight to the NIAA as a contemporary, responsive, and fit-for-purpose organisation.
- Cultivates productive relationships with senior public and private sector stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and service providers.
- Demonstrates a high standard of professional and personal integrity and capacity to promote these in an organisation.
