We are seeking an Indigenous cultural ambassador to play a pivotal role in promoting and preserving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. As a representative of our organization, you will facilitate community engagement initiatives and collaborate with Indigenous communities to develop cultural programs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding and appreciation of Indigenous cultures and traditions. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing cultural awareness training and workshops for government staff and stakeholders.
  • Providing advice and guidance on Indigenous cultural protocols and practices.
  • Engaging with Indigenous Elders and community leaders to ensure their voices are heard and respected.
Key Requirements
  • You must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Indigenous communities.
  • Knowledge of government policies and programs related to Indigenous affairs is highly desirable.
