Job Summary:

The role of the Technical Support Specialist is to provide technical support and troubleshooting services to assigned public schools throughout Victoria. The role is exclusively located onsite at the assigned school as agreed by the Department of Education and Technetics Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to assigned public schools
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical support issues
  • Work collaboratively with the Schools' ICT Management to plan and run ICT professional development sessions
  • Manage and maintain technical systems and infrastructure
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Relevant knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Windows server technologies
  • Relevant knowledge and management of Microsoft and Apple devices
  • Suitable knowledge and experience in Network Administration
  • Relevant experience in an educational setting, along with knowledge of wireless deployments
  • Previous experience with planning, deployment, and management of 1 to 1 user/devices in a school environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and run ICT professional development sessions
  • Motivated, self-starter who can work autonomously or as part of a team as the work dictates
  • Resourceful, able to find and research information to derive appropriate solutions to problems
  • Good communicator, able to clearly communicate using appropriate language to accommodate the stakeholder
  • Ability to troubleshoot through systematic processes of observation and elimination

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly KPI's assigned by the Service Desk Manager at Technetics
  • Logging of work conducted when onsite and timely approval by the relevant parties
  • Represent the company values of Pride, Honesty, and Improvement Experience, Skills, Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong Microsoft systems knowledge
  • Access to motor vehicle to drive to site
  • Australian Citizenship or Visa with suitable working rights
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
