Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide personalised support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals with disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in empowering people with disabilities and their families to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting people with disability, carers, and their families to access information, enter the NDIS, and/or transition smoothly into the Scheme.
  • Working in communities to support local offices and meet participants in their homes to deliver services.
  • Supporting people to develop and implement their NDIS plans.
  • Providing information on mainstream supports and linking participants to access and actively participate in community activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the disability sector and the NDIS framework.

You will also require technical expertise, including a comprehensive understanding of the Disability, Child, Youth and Family Services sector, experience in working with children and vulnerable people, and competency in using office computer packages.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate strong organisation and planning skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to service delivery, collaboration, influencing skills, adaptive behaviour, and a genuine respect for others.
