Behaviour Support Specialist Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team, providing life-changing support to valued customers with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of disability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and experience in Positive Behaviour Support services.

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and provide practice advice/support to aid in reducing restrictive practices.
  • Deliver intensive training and support to families and stakeholders to ensure successful plan implementation.
  • Provide one-to-one therapy sessions to customers to support skill development and create tailored environments that meet their needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Behavioural Science, Developmental Education, Social Work or a relevant allied health/education field.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Positive Behaviour Support and working with people with disabilities in a therapeutic capacity.
