Job Description:

The role of an application specialist is pivotal to supporting, managing, and maintaining the application ecosystem.

This individual will be responsible for core business applications, encompassing a combination of support, maintenance, and projects. Key duties include:

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd level technical resolution
  • Ensuring core IT applications are fully functional, well-maintained, and secure
  • Undertaking and leading an array of IT application projects
  • Engaging with stakeholders to determine whether core IT applications meet requirements
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of business applications and IT more broadly

To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Extensive experience in the support, maintenance, and deployment of business applications

  • Exposure to application security
  • An ability to train and educate end-users in the use of applications
  • A background of managing multiple applications

Experience in supporting and administering Salesforce, alongside other applications, is also necessary. Additionally, confidence engaging with stakeholders at various seniorities to understand requirements and help them achieve business outcomes is crucial.
