About the Opportunity:

Tokio Marine is currently seeking an IT Business Applications Manager a results-driven individual to lead the management, delivery, and optimization of our Azure-based business applications ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring that our applications, integrations, and platforms run securely, reliably, and at scale in support of high-volume business operations.

The IT Business Applications Manager will bridge business and technology, driving continuous improvement, enabling automation, and ensuring applications deliver measurable value. This role requires hands-on knowledge of API-first design, serverless architectures, and cloud-native application management.

Key responsibilities are:

? Oversee the lifecycle of cloud-based business applications and platforms built on the Azure ecosystem (Functions, App Services, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, SQL, etc.).

? Ensure applications are secure, resilient, and scalable to handle high transaction volumes and real-time workloads.

? Maintain an application and integration roadmap that aligns with business priorities and IT strategy.

? Manage compliance, licensing, and security controls across all business applications.

? Partner with business stakeholders to define needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

? Drive automation, workflow optimisation, and self-service enablement across applications.

? Ensure smooth adoption of new features and changes through structured change management.

? Act as the escalation point for critical business application issues, working with the SRE and cloud engineering teams.

? Lead a small team of application analysts and developers (internal/outsourced) with a focus on cloud-native delivery.

? Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring performance against SLAs and cost efficiency.

? Champion best practices, DevOps culture, and reusable patterns across application delivery.

? Promote an API-first approach for application integrations, enabling modularity and scalability.

? Champion serverless and microservices architectures to reduce technical debt and increase agility.

? Leverage observability, monitoring, and automation tools to proactively improve performance and reduce downtime.

? Track KPIs such as uptime, response times, integration throughput, and business adoption metrics.

About You:

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

? Bachelor?s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

? 7+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years managing business applications in a cloud environment.

? Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.

? Proven experience with Azure cloud services: Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, App Service, Azure SQL, Event Grid.

? Background in data integration and analytics platforms (Azure Data Factory, Power Platform).

? Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, CPS 234, SOC2).

? Strong understanding of API design, serverless computing, and event-driven architecture.

? Exposure to high-scale and high-volume business environments.

? Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, IaC tools such as Bicep/Terraform).

? Strong communication skills both verbal and written

? The ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors as required
