Job Summary

This role is a key position in providing exceptional guest experiences at a luxurious island resort. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for delivering personalized service and creating memorable moments for our guests.

About the Role:

  • You will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their stay with your warm welcome and professional demeanor.
  • Take and manage guest bookings, identifying opportunities to enhance their experience and provide them with information about our facilities and services.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of our guests, responding promptly to their requests and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and repeat guests, providing them with special treatment and recognition.
  • Ensure a seamless check-in and check-out process, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Be a trusted contact for all guests, providing them with valuable insights and recommendations, and loop in management when necessary.

Requirements:

  • You possess excellent communication skills, being easy to talk to and able to handle complex situations with ease.
  • You are literate and tech-savvy, with a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths, and computers.
  • You hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A college or university degree would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • You have completed QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
  • Experience in a front desk or guest service position is preferred, with a minimum of one year's experience.
  • You are physically fit and able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, bending and kneeling as required.
  • You are able to travel on boats without experiencing seasickness.
