We are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our team at Catholic Education. This is a Temporary (10 month), Full Time role that will commence ASAP.

About the opportunity:

This is a great role for a Payroll professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality payroll services to our schools and central office.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per EA, Award, Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements
  • Resolve complex payroll queries for our schools and central office
  • Prepare, balance and reconcile payroll tax, PAYG tax and FBT, superannuation, annual group certificates
  • Maintain system records for leave, casual timesheets, employee records etc.
  • Provide management reports and undertake required statutory reporting as needed
  • Partner with the Senior Payroll Advisor to deliver value add outcomes across the team
  • Assist Payroll Officers and conduct training of junior Payroll staff as required

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values along with:

  • Significant experience working in Payroll with a strong focus on compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply multiple Enterprise Agreements / Awards throughout our Payroll processes
  • Experience with Success Factors would be highly desirable but not essential
  • Ability to understand our data and apply best practice solutions to mitigate risk
  • Experience supporting the training and development across Payroll teams
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills and an inherent desire to provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A natural aptitude for collaboration and teamwork
  • Skilled in quickly building rapport, communicating and engaging with stakeholders along with a 'can do' attitude to drive outcomes
