Payroll Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our team at Catholic Education. This is a Temporary (10 month), Full Time role that will commence ASAP.
About the opportunity:
This is a great role for a Payroll professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality payroll services to our schools and central office.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per EA, Award, Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements
- Resolve complex payroll queries for our schools and central office
- Prepare, balance and reconcile payroll tax, PAYG tax and FBT, superannuation, annual group certificates
- Maintain system records for leave, casual timesheets, employee records etc.
- Provide management reports and undertake required statutory reporting as needed
- Partner with the Senior Payroll Advisor to deliver value add outcomes across the team
- Assist Payroll Officers and conduct training of junior Payroll staff as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values along with:
- Significant experience working in Payroll with a strong focus on compliance
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply multiple Enterprise Agreements / Awards throughout our Payroll processes
- Experience with Success Factors would be highly desirable but not essential
- Ability to understand our data and apply best practice solutions to mitigate risk
- Experience supporting the training and development across Payroll teams
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills and an inherent desire to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A natural aptitude for collaboration and teamwork
- Skilled in quickly building rapport, communicating and engaging with stakeholders along with a 'can do' attitude to drive outcomes
