Medical Device Coordinator

The position of Medical Device Coordinator is available in a Sterilising Unit at Wollongong Private Hospital. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the proper care and handling of loaned Reusable Medical Devices, which are essential to the sterilising process.
About The RoleThis team member will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of loaned medical devices, including their reprocessing, maintenance, and distribution. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with the perioperative team.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the care and handling of loaned Reusable Medical Devices.
- Support the sterilisation process and work closely with the perioperative team to meet patient needs.
- A Certificate III qualification in Sterilising Services is required.
- Minimum three years of experience working in a Sterilising Unit.
- Strong interest in staff development and mentoring.
- Effective time management, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Highly effective knowledge of AS 5369:2023 principles.
