Job Description

We are seeking a skilled sales professional to join our Urodynamics team. As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for selling and supporting products such as Urodynamics and Uroflowmetry Equipment, Bladder Scanners & Ultrasound Scanners, high quality catheters, pessaries, lubricants, drainage accessories and related products across the urology and continence market.

Your primary goal will be to consistently achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). To accomplish this, you will develop and execute a business plan that includes strategies for achieving sales targets, protecting existing business, identifying new target areas and managing key accounts and customers.

You will work closely with the Product Manager and Business Unit Manager to achieve strategic objectives, including conversion of major accounts and growth in existing accounts. You will also further develop and promote sales channels, including key accounts, pricing contracts, re-seller relationships, website and e-store capabilities.

In addition, you will continually develop your product and clinical knowledge to stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements. You will develop strong relationships with all stakeholders in accounts that are relevant to your sales objectives.

You will be responsible for promoting and educating customers and patients on suitable products and assisting with education as required. You will ensure deadlines for tenders and pricing contracts are met in conjunction with our Contracts Manager.

Maintaining and utilising our CRM database (Salesforce) is essential to maintaining contacts and developing business plans for forecasting. Regular meetings with key accounts and industry contacts will also be a key aspect of this role.

We encourage you to attend seminars and conferences as determined by the Product Manager to expand your knowledge and network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a business plan to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Work closely with Product Manager and Business Unit Manager to achieve strategic objectives
  • Further develop and promote sales channels
  • Continually develop product and clinical knowledge
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders in accounts
  • Promote and educate customers and patients on suitable products
  • Ensure deadlines for tenders and pricing contracts are met
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications preferred
  • Proven track record of experience and success within medical device sales or another healthcare sales related role
  • Urology or continence nursing background preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in developing close customer relationships and providing high levels of customer service support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and communicate clinical and technical information
  • Ability to analyse sales reports and spreadsheets to identify trends and changes
  • Strong competence in MS Excel and basic MS Word and PowerPoint skills
