The role of Reusable Medical Devices Coordinator involves overseeing the care, handling and reprocessing of loaned equipment. This position is critical to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the sterilising process.
This includes coordinating with the perioperative team to meet their needs and ensure the best possible patient care.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all loaned Reusable Medical Devices.
- Support the sterilisation process and collaborate with the perioperative team.
- Certificate III qualification in Sterilising Services.
- Minimum three years of experience working in a Sterilising Unit.
- Strong interest in mentoring and development of staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
- Strong attention to detail and process improvement orientation.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
- Highly effective time management and customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023.
