About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our growing sales team at Brightcove. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the SMB space for Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory plan focused on revenue generation and growth.
  • Build a metrics-driven sales pipeline of new accounts and manage the sales process through the team from initial contact with a prospect to negotiating and closing contracts.
  • Partner with sales leadership and marketing in ANZ to jointly build a go-to-market strategy for the industry.
  • Close deals and meet or exceed revenue goals and quotas.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience in a SaaS environment, preferably selling into Martech, advertising & media technology, and SMB clientele.
  • A proven track record of delivering on or exceeding revenue goals and quotas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and carry through complex deals to closure.
  • Demonstrated ability to qualify opportunities in large volumes and interact with other team members to work toward closing deals.
  • An ability to assess and uncover client needs and pain points effectively and provide solutions through new products and services.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to customize communication to the customer's needs with confidence.
  • Demonstrate excellent networking skills to identify the right customer stakeholders and build connections quickly to drive consensus for deals.
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly preferred.

Special Conditions:

  • English fluency is required.
  • This is a quota-carrying role.
  • This role will involve travel when things start returning to normal, to meet potential prospects, partners, and customers.
  • You must possess the right to live and work in Australia, there is no relocation possible.
