Senior Technical Business Analyst

A senior technical business analyst is responsible for leading the analysis and definition of complex technical solutions that align with strategic business objectives.

The role involves driving collaboration across multiple teams, business units, and vendors to ensure the alignment of requirements and successful delivery of large-scale digital products and services.

As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and mentorship to other business analysts.

  • Elicit and document business and technical requirements through effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Design technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.
  • Support the delivery of requirements by working closely with development teams.
  • Prioritise and groom the backlog with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Perform financial management and prepare cost estimates for informed decision-making.
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria to facilitate testing and implementation.
  • Support testing and implementation with quality engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to inform business decisions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst in a senior role within a digital or technology-driven environment.
  • Experience managing financials and preparing cost estimates for stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including product, business, engineering, and delivery.
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
  • Advanced technical requirements elicitation and analysis skills.
  • Process analysis and improvement expertise.
  • Solution design and documentation proficiency.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
