Job Description
The key role of this position is to provide guidance and support on workplace health and safety matters across various departments. This involves ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and business requirements that align with the organization's overall strategy.
One of the critical aspects of this role is the identification and management of sensitive incidents reported in an online system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tools to facilitate compliance and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert advice and assistance to staff, managers, and stakeholders on workplace health and safety matters, including the utilization of relevant systems and processes
- Investigate sensitive incidents recorded in the incident management system and maintain a register of such incidents
- Communicate with department executives and impacted staff to ensure timely allocation and support
Required Skills and Qualifications

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build relationships at all levels through written and verbal communication
- A proactive attitude, flexibility, and comfort working in a dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills, allowing you to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Proficiency in utilizing software applications such as HPE Content Manager (TRIM), MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Relevant industry experience in occupational health and safety management systems
- Demonstrated ability to consult with managers and staff to deliver key outcomes in health and safety, change management, and workplace improvement initiatives
Desirable Qualifications/Requirements
A tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety is highly desirable but not essential if extensive relevant experience is demonstrated.
