Job Overview:

The role of National Pricing Lead is pivotal in driving the organisation's pricing strategy to achieve maximum profitability, competitiveness, and customer value.

This key position will lead the Commercial Leadership team in formulating a comprehensive pricing strategy that aligns with the organisation's overall goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Pricing & Revenue Management and be responsible for implementing and embedding best-practice standards across pricing, tendering, and deal approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement expert guidance on pricing strategies and deal structuring to drive sustainable earnings growth.
  • Leverage technology to lead the adoption of Salesforce CPQ and the pricing engine as the standard for pricing and tenders, ensuring seamless integration and successful adoption across sales and commercial teams.
  • Establish and coach high-performance processes and workflows across business units to enhance speed, transparency, and accuracy in pricing and commercial activities.
  • Oversee price adjustments, approvals, and governance to ensure margin, risk, and customer value targets are consistently achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal, to establish and manage a best-practice deal desk function, evaluating and managing commercial terms across complex customer and supplier agreements.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record in senior commercial leadership roles, with expertise in contracting, pricing, and deal management.

They will possess strong commercial and contract management skills in a B2B environment, including reviewing contracts, structuring deals, and managing risk.

A deep understanding of commercial risk and governance frameworks is essential, along with experience leading large-scale commercial or pricing transformation programs.

Candidates should be skilled at operating in dynamic environments, with the ability to lead and embed change across a matrix organisation.

Excellent stakeholder and change management skills are required, with the proven ability to influence and coach at all levels, including executives.

The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically, work collaboratively, and drive results-oriented initiatives that deliver sustained business value.
