Rebuild Support Specialist

The Rebuild Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience for applicants navigating complex rebuilds of their home.

The ideal candidate will have experience in case management, project coordination and customer service delivery within a statutory framework.

The Rebuild Support Specialist will contribute to improving the customer experience by supporting the implementation of best practices and ensuring clear, compassionate and efficient assistance.

  • Contribute to developing approaches for complex applications, including pathways for psycho-social support and securing funding commitments from third parties.
  • Facilitate communication between applicants, local councils, builders, trades, suppliers and government agencies.
  • Represent the department at interagency meetings and forums, strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and review recipient experiences to identify patterns and support ongoing improvements in service delivery and community outcomes.

Key responsibilities include preparing and presenting accurate reports, event specific work plans, business cases and submissions to support informed decision-making and program enhancements.

The specialist will also maintain documentation to support re-build processes in accordance with Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) guidelines, Community Recovery and local government policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role and an in-depth understanding of disaster management arrangements and recovery principles.
  • Demonstrable experience in project and/or case management within a statutory framework.
