Executive Culinary Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Stamford Grand Adelaide, a 5-star hotel in Glenelg, South Australia. As a key member of our award-winning Kitchen Team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and successful food service operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a creative flair, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and have a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. You will work closely with our Front of House Service Teams to ensure seamless execution and high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Hands-on management of food service operations for all outlets, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Collaboration with Front of House Teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintenance of high food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques, aligned with guidelines and requirements.
- Drive sustainable practices and lead the hotel Food Waste Program.
- Manage food cost and expenses effectively.
- Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end hotel setting.
- Prior experience in mentoring and motivating kitchen staff.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and problem-solve efficiently.
- Can-do attitude and strong teamwork ethos.
- Appropriate trade qualifications and sound knowledge of food safety principles, including HACCP standards and procedures.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as necessary.
