Business Development Manager - Industry Applications

The Business Development Manager - Industry Applications is a key customer-focused role within the business, responsible for maximizing sales volume and margin in the region through growth in defined markets, applications, territories, and channels. This role will also develop and manage channel strategies to reach current and new markets.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Liaise and execute with all relevant stakeholders to achieve overall region business revenue and margin expectations.
  • Expand businesses in Tier I and Tier II channel partners.
  • Participate and execute Country Business plans with clear specifics on strategies and tactics implementations.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop channels to drive growth expectations.
  • Operate through inter-department communication and coordination in fulfilling enquiry to order and order to fulfillment and shipment cycle.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other NORMA Group setups within APAC and beyond with regards to corporate and business development programs.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner consistent with Corporate and Country guidelines and laws.
Profile
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Development, preferably in the Mining or New Energy sector.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Sales and Marketing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commercial analytical experience and strong reporting skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective customer working relationships.
  • Able to build, maintain, and analyze knowledge of market conditions and trends and customer activities/competitive responses.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring sales budgets and targets.
  • Proven knowledge of customer relationship management, including assessing customer needs, meeting customer expectations, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic focus with hands-on approach.
  • Experience with eCRM systems.
  • Proven track record in negotiating with key stakeholders.
  • Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers.
