Family Preservation Practitioner Role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity to work with our team in Mildura, providing family-centered practice models and contributing to the development of services.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience and skills in assessment and clinical interventions, sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, and highly developed interpersonal, communication, and written skills.

  • Assess and intervene with vulnerable children, young people, and families with complex needs
  • Develop and implement family-centred practice models
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify needs, and ensure safety for vulnerable populations
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including staff, students, and community members

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.

We are seeking an experienced Family Preservation Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our FPR team, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Significant experience working with vulnerable populations, including children, young people, and families
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Cultural competence and the ability to work with diverse communities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
