Family Preservation and Reunification Practitioner

The Family Preservation and Reunification team is seeking an experienced practitioner to assist in leading high-quality practice through informal supervision, coaching, consultation, support, and training for staff and students. This includes developing services and quality improvement practices, as well as providing casework within the family preservation and reunification response program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to high-quality practice through informal supervision, coaching, consultation, support, and training for staff and students.
  • Develop services and quality improvement practices.
  • Provide casework in the FPR team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience and skills in assessment and clinical interventions and family-centred practice with vulnerable children, young people, and families with complex needs.
  • Sound knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and policies relating to child welfare and the Best Interests of the Child Practice Model.
  • Highly developed skills in assessing risks, needs, and safety for vulnerable children, young people, and families.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, written, verbal, and computer skills.

Benefits:

This is a permanent part-time opportunity based in Mildura, working 30.4 hours per week. The position reports to the Practice Team Leader.
