
Leading Surgical and Midwifery Team Coordinator

The After Hours Coordinator will provide critical support to the Nurse Unit Manager in leading nurses in Surgical and Midwifery Ward settings at Gawler Health Service. This pivotal management position involves promoting continuity and consistency of care, collaborating with other Nurse Unit Managers, and contributing to practice changes. Key responsibilities include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, attendance management, financial planning, and monitoring.
Key Requirements:- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Prior experience in management and leadership roles is essential
- Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills are required
- Ability to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems
