Job Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a leadership role in Women's and Children's services. The position of Midwifery Unit Manager has been created to oversee the clinical and operational management of midwifery models of care within Liverpool Hospital.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality patient care and efficient use of resources. They will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, coordinating midwifery care, and liaising effectively with multidisciplinary care teams.
The successful candidate will have current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with AHPRA, relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience. They will also need to demonstrate their leadership approach and align it with the values and goals of Maternity Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for midwifery models of care
- Take overall responsibility for the clinical and operational management of midwifery services
- Coordinate midwifery care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality patient outcomes

Liverpool Hospital is a major referral and teaching hospital with a strong reputation for healthcare excellence. The hospital offers a range of services, including maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, and medical and surgical services.
The hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment project, which will provide enhanced facilities and increased capacity to meet future population growth.
