Strategic Partnership Development Specialist
Overview
This exciting position has been created to drive the future growth of our Innovative Society Initiative. You will identify and approach potential partners to support and expand the Fund, and Initiative as a whole, strategically building these relationships and maintaining them over time.
You will need previous strategy, partnerships and initiative or project-based business development experience along with a proven ability to identify and develop new relationships and to convert relevant prospects from various contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically identify, prospect and meet potential partners suitable for our Innovative Society Initiative through growing, leveraging and maintaining your network.
- Secure and convert relevant prospects from various contexts.
- Update and maintain accurate data, documentation and process within our sales platform for reporting and forecasting.
- Ongoing partner business development and support and relationship management.
- Achieve growth targets for the Innovative Society Initiative.
- Be an advocate for innovators and entrepreneurs creating a smart, innovative society in Western Australia, including attending outside events.
- Document procedures and processes.
Skills Required
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Excellent skills in identifying, creating and building strategic partnership relationships across industries, universities and government, ideally in relation to WA's innovation ecosystem and related sectors.
- Credibility, trustworthiness and an ability to demonstrate clear value propositions to new partners and senior decision-makers.
- Precision about entrepreneurship and innovation, and the people, ideas and methods who can help create a smart, innovative WA society.
- An exceptional work ethic and self-starter skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Great communication skills - written and verbal.
- Some flexibility with adhoc and after-hours working hours.
- Awareness and ability to demonstrate our core values: Ubiquitously Connected, Candid, Pay It Forward, Lead From the Front and Impact Driven.
Performance Goals
Your success in this role will be measured by conversion of partners for future business development, including financial contributors, collaborators who support and help to build the elements of the Initiative, or others who provide support to create and maintain these.
