Web Development Specialist Job

The Web Development Specialist provides a wide range of software implementation services in various web solutions. This is a customer-facing role that touches on all aspects of the software development life-cycle framework.

With a keen eye for detail, and a desire to help agencies become better prepared to face crises, you'll be based in Wellington and will work with high-profile organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand.

  • Configure web-based products within the webEOC framework to meet requirements of our clients' needs for emergency/incident response.
  • Responsible for the design, utilisation, and improvement of emergency/incident management processes.
  • Create written requirements documents to detail system configuration required to meet client's needs for Emergency/Incident Response processes.

You will have experience in a range of development technologies, with prior experience in implementing software. As you can imagine, deadlines in this industry can change in an instant, so you will have a superior ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines.

We are seeking a skilled front-end web developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, including experience with Bootstrap versions 3 and 4, jQuery, RESTful services, and APIs. You will also have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as a superior ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tier 2 support for the region's clients.
  • Identify and implement staff development opportunities related to emergency preparedness and emergency response.
  • Support emergency operations centre activations when required.
Requirements
  • At least three years of experience in web development.
  • Experience with Bootstrap versions 3 and 4.
  • Experience with jQuery.
  • Experience with RESTful services and APIs.
