What You'll Do

As a Technical Writer at Simpro, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality learning content that empowers our diverse user base. You'll work on a variety of documentation challenges, always with a keen eye on user experience and clarity. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing company and make a real impact on how people interact with technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Content: Write, review, and maintain Simpro's learning resources, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to our established writing style guidelines and standards.
  • Enhance User Experience: Tackle diverse documentation challenges, focusing on user experience and ensuring content is clear, intuitive, and easy to understand.
  • Drive Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements in writing practices, systems, and processes to optimize content creation and delivery.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with internal teams and subject matter experts to gather information, validate content, and continuously improve our learning materials.
  • Advise on Best Practices: Provide expert advice on best practices for technical writing and documentation across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all learning resources align with broader company needs and objectives.
  • Manage Knowledge Base: Manage and publish articles to our knowledge base platform, ensuring content is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Support Diverse Mediums: Contribute to the delivery of written learning resources through various mediums, including engaging in-product walkthroughs.
What You'll Bring
  • A highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with:
  • A strong understanding of technical writing and documentation principles.
  • Proven ability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately for technical audiences.
  • Experience in maintaining and improving knowledge base content.
  • A user-centric mindset with a focus on improving the learning experience.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Experience or willingness to work with walkthrough software such as Pendo, Walkthrough, Whatfix, or Stonly is desired but not required.
