About This Role

This position supports the Technical Developmental Accounting Management and Regional Accounting teams by gathering, reviewing, and analyzing financial information. Responsibilities include assisting with financial data input and maintenance of the database. The successful candidate will be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete reviews of capital contribution adjusters.
  • Reviews partnership tax returns and audits.
  • Reviews tax capital accounts, including performing 704(b) analyses and problem resolution.
  • Processes, analyzes, and adjusts lower tier financial data on a quarterly basis.
  • Interfaces with General Partners and their Accountants on eligible basis, tax, and audit issues.
  • Enter data accurately and timely into financial applications and database.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of information that is entered into the database.
  • Maintain portfolio data entry for the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting and tax experience required; public accounting, real estate, or partnership tax preferred.
  • Knowledge of real estate development terminology and financial analysis preferred. Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credits a plus.
  • 2 or more years of Technical Accountant experience within Housing Tax Credits.
  • Experience with Form 8609s.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and reliably move tasks forward.
  • Demonstrated habit of accuracy and reliability.
  • Ability to work under stress/pressure.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours during peak periods.
