Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in management or senior practitioner roles within children's services or social care. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires occasional evening or weekend work as needed. You will be working closely with the Service Manager and other stakeholders to implement strategies that enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management: Lead and manage day-to-day operational activities within Miya Services, ensuring efficient service delivery aligned with organizational policies and procedures.
  2. Team Leadership and Development: Provide regular supervision, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities to staff members.
  3. Quality Assurance and Practice Improvement: Champion a culture of high standards in practice and service delivery, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and child-focused.
  4. Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including children and families, local authorities, schools, health services, and external partners.
Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work, Health, or a related field.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work Australia).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a management or senior practitioner role within children's services or social care.
  • In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding policies, and best practices in children's services.
