Administrative Service Coordinator

About the Role:
Healthscope is seeking an experienced Administrative Service Coordinator to join our team. This is a key role that requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Ensuring admission details are accurately entered into Webpas Patient Management System
- Contacting health funds for patient membership details
- Liaising with bookings clerks for pre-admission processes
- Following up after-hours admissions and processing identification forms
- Collecting and receipting monies from patients
- Conducting follow-up requests as needed
- Operating the hospital switchboard
- Answering queries from the public, visitors, suppliers, doctors, staff and patients
- Receiving visitors and directing them to specialist or patient rooms
Requirements:
- Customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
