Sustainability and Safety Leader

We are seeking a skilled Sustainability and Safety Leader to champion safety, health, environment, and quality across our defence and social infrastructure projects nationally.
This role goes beyond compliance – it's an opportunity to lead with purpose, influence culture, and drive excellence in one of Australia's most dynamic infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong industrial safety experience, preferably within utilities or infrastructure, and be able to meet KPIs and tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Implement effective SHEQ Management Plans across major contracts
- Drive compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices
- Ensure project readiness through thorough due diligence
- Build strong relationships to effectively manage subcontractors
- Design engaging risk workshops and safety training sessions
- Investigate incidents and deliver actionable insights
- Champion mental and physical wellbeing programs
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Environment, or Quality
- ICAM investigation training (desired)
- Lead auditor training (desired)
- Current driver's license and construction white card
- Collaborative mindset and ability to influence across levels
- Integrity, resilience, and drive for excellence

- Monday to Friday work schedule with reasonable overtime
