We believe materials aren't truly recycled until they've been transformed into new products. Our innovative approach involves collecting and sorting recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals from households and businesses, then locally remanufacturing them back into sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes and water bottles to jam jars and food cans, we're using recycled content to drive Australia's and New Zealand's food and beverage packaging industry forward.
Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to manage and grow established accounts in the Melbourne Southeast territory while expanding Visy's presence through prospecting and new business development activities. Working closely with the sales team and other key stakeholders, you'll foster existing customer relationships and build new ones.
Your Responsibilities:
- Retain and expand existing business, actively pursuing new opportunities
- Develop timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements and efficiently manage your territory utilizing Salesforce.com
- Design and execute sales strategies tailored to meet customer needs
- Identify process improvement opportunities within our own or customers' businesses
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders across various disciplines
- Maintain adherence to OHS&E policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Internal/External Sales, Customer Service, or Account Management
- Prior experience in Packaging and/or Manufacturing is highly regarded
- B2B sales expertise would be highly valued
- Familiarity with customer relationship management systems (CRM) and Microsoft products
- Autonomous individual with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and solution-focused mindset
- Clear, personable communicator with exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills

Our estimated salary range for this position is AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure reflects the company's commitment to fair compensation and competitiveness in the market.
