The University of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our commercial business unit, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and innovation of our commercial business portfolio.

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial professional to support and coordinate strategic business initiatives, including third-line revenue and the expansion of our market presence with food and beverage retailers on campus. You will work closely with our Property Managers and Associate Director to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to drive business results.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to increase revenue and explore new opportunities.
  • Reviewing and managing rental reviews, market reviews of tenants, and assisting in the collection of valuations.
  • Coordinating and monitoring all commercial legal matters to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assisting in budget preparation and monitoring various financial reports, including collecting tenant sales data to meet financial targets.
  • Identifying high-value advertising locations on and off campus to drive third-line revenue outcomes.
  • Collaborating with advertising and vending partners to seek new opportunities.
  • Creating and managing tailored content for retail clients to support their advertising efforts.

About You

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will have a proven track record in supporting business development strategies to drive growth and expand market presence. Additionally, you should have demonstrated experience in creating and managing engaging content for retailers, including promotional materials.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial business principles and practices, as well as experience in working with property managers and legal teams. You will be a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
