About the Role

The University of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advisor: Research Contracts to join its Research Contracts Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide strategic advice and support in the negotiation, establishment, and execution of complex research contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on research contracts, including negotiation, drafting, and review
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including researchers, academics, and professional services
  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers to develop and grow productive relationships with industry partners
  • Support the University's Enterprise Partnership Unit in achieving its goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business, or an equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience in research contract drafting, review, negotiation, administration, and advising
  • Strong knowledge of research agreements, including industry agreements, tender documentation, and international funding agreements
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team to achieve business outcomes
