The Garvan Research Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Prospect Research Coordinator to join their Philanthropy Team. This role will support the Prospect Research & Strategic Projects Lead in identifying, researching, and analysing prospective donors to provide valuable insights for cultivation and solicitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for identifying potential major donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and trusts;
  • Conduct comprehensive research to evaluate a prospective donor's financial capacity, philanthropic interests, giving history, and affiliations;
  • Prepare accurate, timely prospect information and profiles, tracking the development process and providing insights to support the Philanthropy Team's fundraising and acquisition activities.

Requirements:

  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail;
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience in a fundraising or not-for-profit environment;
  • Familiarity with relational databases and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs;
  • Understanding of high-net-worth populations, financial industry sectors, and philanthropy;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with minimum supervision.
