About the Role

Brisbane City Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ward Officer to join our team in the Pullenvale Ward Office. As a key member of the Ward Office, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing the Ward Office workload, and achieving key performance markers set by the Councillor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative and customer service support to the Ward Office team, including managing in-progress requests in the Customer Database system.
  • Lead the Ward Office team in delivering effective administration and customer service, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and resolving complex customer queries.
  • Research and interpret legislation, policy, and guidelines to support the Councillor in resolving community queries.
  • Organize documents, prepare resources for meetings, and maintain accurate records.
  • Write reports, correspondence, and information decks, handling sensitive information in line with Council policy.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated customer service experience with a strong focus on resolving complex customer queries.
  • Proven experience in leading an office-based operation, providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legislation, policy, and guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of customers and Council officers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, contributing to a culture of excellence.
