Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guest Experience Expert to join our Rooms Department at The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests
  • Secure payment, activate/reissue room keys, and resolve guest calls
  • Provide consistent outstanding guest service and build relationships with our clientele
  • Manage end-to-end guest experiences and check-in and check-out tasks
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed
  • Run daily reports and identify any special requests
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in similar roles, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough follow-up, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to emotionally connect with guests and provide superior levels of service
  • Conflict resolution experience and ability to remain calm, polite, and patient in stressful situations
  • Flexibility to work on a 24-hour rotating roster, including public holidays and weekends
