Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to oversee the entire compensation cycle, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of the full compensation cycle for all employees – ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
- Maintenance and enhancement of compensation systems, records, and reporting processes.
- Leading compensation audits and collaborating with external auditors.
- Resolution of complex compensation queries with clarity and confidence.
- Partnership with Finance and HR on compensation reconciliations and reporting.
Transformation & Improvement
- Leadership of compensation transformation projects, including system upgrades and process redesign.
- Identification and implementation of automation and digitization opportunities.
- Development of clear, streamlined compensation procedures and documentation.
- Integration of compensation seamlessly with broader business systems and processes.
- Benchmarking operations against industry best practice and driving improvement.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, tax, superannuation, and employment law.
- Monitoring legislative changes and assessing their impact on compensation.
- Implementation of robust controls and risk mitigation measures.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring of compensation team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Act as the compensation subject matter expert (SME) across business projects and initiatives.
- Building trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
- Clear communication of change, bringing stakeholders on the transformation journey.
About You
- Proven experience in end-to-end compensation management within a complex organization.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in delivering compensation process improvements and/or transformation projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and lead through change.
- People leadership experience, with a focus on coaching and developing others.
