
Workers Compensation Manager

We are looking for a Dynamic Workers Compensation Manager to join our health, safety & environment team here at G4S. You will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the effective engagement and management of the workers' compensation and rehabilitation functions improved outcomes for employees, support and education for People Leader and Commercial outcomes for the business.
This role is pivotal in managing the insurance, claims and injury management function for workers compensation as well as:
- Managing the reporting, compliance and administrative requirements
- Ensuring that business effectively and efficiently manages the workers compensation inputs and outputs across our business.
- Liaison with Key Stakeholders
- Supporting the uplift in knowledge and understanding for workers compensation and claims management across the business
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the effective engagement and management of the workers' compensation and rehabilitation functions
- Monitor the performance of third-party providers involved in the workers compensation, claims and rehabilitation process
- Monitor conformance to workers compensation insurance policies, requirements in relation to privacy, claims administration, audit and compliance.
- Develop and deliver strategies for continuous improvement and delivery of best practice workers compensation and injury management
- Educate business leaders on workers compensation and best business management driving value
- Manage the relationship with insurers and other key stakeholders to ensure value and performance
- Oversee, energise and provide guidance for the injury management function and resource(s)
- Determine and where applicable plan and deliver self-insurance
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Previous experience in workers compensation in a large multi-jurisdictional organisation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders, business leaders and staff to ensure the delivery of business objectives within a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Knowledge of workers compensation legislation and jurisdictional requirements and regulations
- The ability to support, coach and develop others
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
