Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Manager to join our team in expanding our key strategic partnerships across Australia-based mid-market merchants. This role is responsible for growing and developing long-term profitable partnerships that deliver value to both merchants and customers.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the direction and evolution of our vertical strategies and own the growth and development of your portfolio. You will identify opportunities for establishing best practices that scale across the wider business.

The successful candidate will have experience in client-facing sales/account management/customer success roles and possess excellent relationship management skills. They will be able to manage complex relationships across internal and external stakeholders and build advocacy.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and develop long-term profitable partnerships that deliver value to merchants, customers, and Afterpay.
  • Lead C-level external and internal engagement and stakeholder management.
  • Work with senior stakeholders across the Afterpay business to drive local engagement and focus for your portfolio of Australian-based merchants.
  • Manage a complex portfolio and lead the development and analysis of the overall portfolio and its performance.
  • Deliver a proactive customer growth strategy to drive merchant usage, satisfaction, and revenue growth.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Experience in client-facing sales/account management/customer success roles.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to manage complex relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in eCommerce or start-up environments with global operations.
