Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and growing strategic partnerships with mid-market merchants in Australia. Your primary objective will be to exceed profitability targets for Afterpay and our partners, while delivering long-term value to both parties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Grow and develop long-term profitable partnerships with mid-market merchants, driving topline growth and unit economics.
  2. Lead C-level external and internal engagement, managing complex relationships and stakeholder management.
  3. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the Afterpay business to drive local engagement and focus for your portfolio of Australia-based merchants.
  4. Manage a complex portfolio and lead the development and analysis of the overall portfolio and its performance.
  5. Develop, negotiate, and execute multi-year account plans in conjunction with our strategic partners.
  6. Delve into best practices in operations, risk management, staff training, visual merchandising, and marketing plans to drive growth and improvement.
  7. Lead merchant advocacy within the Afterpay business, fostering cross-functional engagement and driving product evolution.

Requirements
  1. Proven experience in client-facing sales, account management, or customer success roles.
  2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  3. Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships and build advocacy.
  4. Experience in e-commerce or start-up environments with global operations highly regarded.
  5. Track record of identifying opportunities and seizing them.
