Strategic Partnership Manager, Mid-Market Growth

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and growing strategic partnerships with mid-market merchants in Australia. Your primary objective will be to exceed profitability targets for Afterpay and our partners, while delivering long-term value to both parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow and develop long-term profitable partnerships with mid-market merchants, driving topline growth and unit economics.
- Lead C-level external and internal engagement, managing complex relationships and stakeholder management.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the Afterpay business to drive local engagement and focus for your portfolio of Australia-based merchants.
- Manage a complex portfolio and lead the development and analysis of the overall portfolio and its performance.
- Develop, negotiate, and execute multi-year account plans in conjunction with our strategic partners.
- Delve into best practices in operations, risk management, staff training, visual merchandising, and marketing plans to drive growth and improvement.
- Lead merchant advocacy within the Afterpay business, fostering cross-functional engagement and driving product evolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in client-facing sales, account management, or customer success roles.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships and build advocacy.
- Experience in e-commerce or start-up environments with global operations highly regarded.
- Track record of identifying opportunities and seizing them.
