Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Commi/Demi Chef to join our team at the stunning ocean-front hotel location, Manly Pacific. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our casual dining restaurant, Bistro Manly, with a dash of French flair.
Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to oversee all operational aspects of the kitchen and related outlets.
- Ensure all employees follow procedures and adhere to departmental and hotel policies.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Assist with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for expected service.
- Prepare and present high-quality food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including A la Carte, room service, functions, and buffet service.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer service and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Experience as a Commi/Demi Chef with a passion for food and a creative flair, preferably with knowledge in French cuisine.
- Service-oriented with an eye for detail and multicultural awareness.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations and customer service.
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills.
- Familiar with Food Safety and WHS legislation.
