Occupational Therapist Position

We are seeking a skilled occupational therapist to join our team at our Randwick campus. As an experienced professional, you will work closely with highly skilled and committed teams focused on dementia care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, social workers, speech pathologists, dietitians, podiatrists, and therapy assistants focused on dementia care.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy plans to support patients with moderate-severe dementia.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve patient-centered goals.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy with current registration as an occupational therapist with the relevant governing body.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Experience working with individuals who live with dementia, including pressure area care, cognitive screening tools, seating and wheelchair prescription, and equipment prescription.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
