Job Description

As a Presales Engineer, you will play a key role in demonstrating the value of our technical solutions to service providers, telcos, and MSS organizations.

Your Impact

You will see complex problems as opportunities to learn and deliver innovative solutions, partnering with large organizations to secure their networks, cloud, and endpoints with Palo Alto Networks technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with large SP, telcos, and MSSP to secure their networks, cloud, and endpoints with Palo Alto Networks technology
  • Build and implement strategic, technical account plans that target cross-platform solutions
  • Conduct discovery to understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of your prospects and customers
  • Plan and build compelling technical and business-focused solutions that drive adoption and growth after the initial sale and across the portfolio
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to influence through effective presentations and customer-specific demos, technical engagements, and workshops
  • Orchestrate supporting resources to ensure a one-team approach that demonstrates a cohesive strategy
  • Promote end-to-end solutions such as Professional Services to ensure customers realize business value sooner
  • Understand the competitive landscape and effectively differentiate our solutions
  • Continuously invest in yourself to develop technical and professional skills by actively participating within the community and at industry events

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Understanding of data networking (L3 and L2 networking, transport technology, and routing protocols) is a must
  • Knowledge of telcos, carriers, and service providers (5G, MPLS, SDWAN), cybersecurity technology, and automation is preferable
  • Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role (experience in a pre-sales role is preferred)
  • Ability to create and deliver technical presentations, workshops, technical validation engagements, and proof-of-concepts/proof-of-value
  • Ability to partner with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions
  • Experience working with large enterprise organizations
  • Consultative selling skills
