About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Datacom. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for configuring Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office using Group Policy, SCCM/MECM, and Intune. You will also ensure compliance with Australian cybersecurity frameworks such as the ACSC ISM and Essential Eight.

You will work under the guidance of a Cybersecurity Architect and collaborate with Datacom engineering and client teams to implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures. The role is focused on endpoint security and will leverage your skills around the configuration of Windows endpoints, Microsoft Office365 and Active Directory via group policy, SCCM and Intune.

We are looking for someone with a strong Windows 10/11 and/or Microsoft Server background, such as a Systems Engineer, who is passionate about getting into the Cybersecurity space. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in cybersecurity concepts and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office using Group Policy, SCCM/MECM, and Intune.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian cybersecurity frameworks such as the ACSC ISM and Essential Eight.
  • Utilize XDR products with a focus on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Develop and execute scripts using PowerShell and other sources to gather information for audit reports.
  • Collaborate with Datacom engineering and client teams to address cybersecurity challenges.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance your cybersecurity knowledge and skills.
