Job Description

We are seeking results-oriented individuals to join our team as Assistant Engagement Directors in the Kimberley Region. The successful candidates will work closely with the Engagement Director and other staff to deliver outcomes in line with community aspirations on behalf of the Australian Government.

The role involves driving the implementation of the Empowered Communities model in the Kimberley Region, developing effective strategic partnerships with a range of stakeholders, and managing stakeholder expectations of the NIAA work program. The Assistant Engagement Directors will also provide strategic advice and specialist expertise across a broad range of activities, including community engagement, customer service delivery, policy development, and culture.

The successful candidates will have a high level of cultural awareness and demonstrated cultural capability, including a respect for diversity and ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They will also possess well-developed analytical and research skills, strong writing skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to travel, including overnight stays, is required, and a current Drivers Licence is essential.
