About the Role

The Sales Growth Strategist will play a pivotal role in accelerating revenue growth for our venues. This involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing sales strategies to increase group bookings and event sales, and building strong relationships with corporate clients and event agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Measurable Sales Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities that meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute plans to increase group bookings, private functions, and event sales, ensuring optimal conversion rates and revenue.
  • Build and Manage Sales Pipeline: Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely conversions and revenue targets are consistently met.
  • Negotiate and Close Deals: Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, universities, and community groups, negotiating and closing contracts for large bookings, events, and packages.
  • Network and Generate Leads: Attend industry networking functions, expos, and client meetings to generate leads and build our profile.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving commercial growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated and energetic with a 'hunter' mindset for new business.
  • Adept at building and leveraging professional relationships within Melbourne's hospitality or events sectors.
  • Well-organised, able to manage multiple leads and priorities over multiple venues.
  • Familiarity with the local market and a strong industry network is advantageous.
