About the Role

The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the First Focus Academy, which encompasses all training programs, the Learning Management System (LMS), and video library.

As an initial project, they will be responsible for developing and delivering the Leadership Academy, a hands-on leadership development program for middle managers.

The purpose of the Leadership Academy is to equip existing and emerging people managers with practical skills to 'bring to life' the concepts and principles contained in the company's unique culture book – The First Focus Method.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the successful candidate will have proven experience in designing, implementing, and running successful training programs, ideally in the technology space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage the First Focus Academy.
  • Develop and deliver the Leadership Academy.
  • Equip existing and emerging people managers with practical skills.
  • Collaborate with the CPO to achieve business objectives.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and running successful training programs.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong program management skills.
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence.
  • The ability to assess and iterate quickly when necessary.
  • A warm personality and a great sense of humor.
  • A genuine alignment with the First Focus values.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally in the technology space.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing successful leadership training programs.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong program management skills.
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence.
  • The ability to assess and iterate quickly when necessary.
  • A warm personality and a great sense of humor.
  • A genuine alignment with the First Focus values.
