
Credit Management Specialist

Key Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire credit management process from initial credit assessment to final payment receipt.
This includes:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining effective credit control policies and procedures to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Conducting thorough credit checks on new customers and assessing their creditworthiness based on a range of factors.
- Monitoring accounts receivable aging reports to identify potential issues and taking prompt action to prevent bad debt.
- Collaborating with sales and finance teams to evaluate credit risks, negotiate payment terms and resolve customer disputes.
- Preparing and analyzing daily, weekly and monthly reports on receivables performance, days sales outstanding (DSO) and bad debt ratio.
- Maintaining excellent communication with customers to resolve payment issues, negotiate payment plans and provide support where necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 5-7 years of experience in credit management or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
- Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
