Job Description

We are seeking a Prosecutions & Education Lead to support our legal and compliance functions. The role involves delivering high-quality legal support through training and coaching to enforcement-based officers.

The Prosecutions and Education Lead will be responsible for managing and delivering prosecutions functions, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing prosecutions functions across various key stakeholders within the Council.
  • Providing training and coaching to enforcement-based officers to ensure high standards of investigations.
  • Developing strong and positive relationships with internal and external customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in law or equivalent, with a focus on municipal law enforcement.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing prosecutorial functions and duties, including the appearance and representation as a prosecutorial advocate.
  • Facilitation and coaching experience, with a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  • A sound knowledge of the function and role of Local Government, specifically the regulatory and compliance environment.

Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
